Kim Byeongnae and Im Miran Declare Support for Gwangju City Council Preliminary Candidates


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Kim Byeong-nae, the Democratic Party candidate for Nam-gu District Mayor, expressed support for Im Mi-ran, a preliminary candidate running in the Gwangju City Council election for Nam-gu District Constituency 2, and cheered for her primary victory.


On the 30th, Candidate Kim stated, “Preliminary candidate Im Mi-ran is a capable grassroots politician who has carried out sincere legislative activities with exceptional passion and effort for the development of Nam-gu and the city as a female city council member,” adding, “I hope you will actively support her so that we can create a vibrant economic city and a happy welfare-oriented Nam-gu together with preliminary candidate Im.”


Preliminary candidate Im served as the vice-chairperson of the 8th Gwangju Metropolitan Council and was active in the Administrative Autonomy Committee and the Education and Culture Committee. She was recognized for her passionate legislative activities including ordinance enactment, city administration inquiries, administrative audits, five-minute speeches, and policy forums, receiving awards such as the Press Legislative Award, Disability Human Rights Award, Local Council Manifesto Promise Award, National Local Female Council Members Award, and the Grassroots Legislative Excellence Award.
