Gyeonggi-do Announces Public Recruitment for Private Subsidy Operator to Manage Japanese Military Comfort Women Victims Memorial Project


[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province will publicly recruit a private subsidy operator responsible for the Japanese Military Comfort Women Victims Memorial Project by the 11th of this month.


The main subsidy projects include holding events in line with the purpose of the Japanese Military Comfort Women Victims Memorial Day (August 14), producing (exhibiting) works such as sculptures related to the Japanese Military Comfort Women victims, and other projects proposed by subsidy operators.


The total subsidy budget supported by the province is 50 million KRW.


Eligibility to apply is limited to non-profit corporations or non-profit private organizations within the province whose purpose is projects in the fields of women and social welfare.


Applications can be submitted by downloading the relevant documents from the Gyeonggi Province website and then sending them via email or postal mail.


The province will announce the final selection results after review by the project department and the Local Subsidy Management Committee.
