Asiana Airlines and Korea Tourism Organization Sign Agreement for Early Recovery of Inbound Travel Market
Promotions Including Airfare Discounts to be Offered

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Asiana Airlines has joined hands with the Korea Tourism Organization to revive the inbound travel market.
On the 29th, Asiana Airlines announced that it signed a "Business Agreement for the Early Recovery of the Inbound Travel Market" at the Korea Tourism Organization Seoul Center the previous day, attended by Asiana Airlines CEO Jeong Seong-gwon and Korea Tourism Organization President Ahn Young-bae, among other officials.
The business agreement signed that day aims to accelerate the recovery of the international inbound tourism market and promote the mutual growth of the tourism and aviation industries, as international tourism resumes after COVID-19.
Asiana Airlines and the Korea Tourism Organization agreed to jointly promote ▲special programs for overseas influencers ▲attracting groups for meetings, incentives, conventions, exhibitions, and medical tourism ▲development of Korean tourism video content to facilitate the early recovery of the inbound tourism market. Additionally, the two organizations will share customer information and tourism-aviation data to conduct customized marketing, enhancing synergy in attracting foreign tourists.
To commemorate the signing of the business agreement, Asiana Airlines and the Korea Tourism Organization will also run the "Travel to Korea begins Again!" promotion. Inbound tourists flying on 14 routes departing from regions including the Americas, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Australia will receive a 5-10% discount on airfare purchases. The discounted ticket purchase period is from May 15 to June 30, and the travel period is from May 15 to November 30. However, these discounted tickets can only be purchased through Asiana Airlines’ local websites.
Jeong Seong-gwon, CEO of Asiana Airlines, said, "We will work with the Korea Tourism Organization to widely promote Korea’s charm so that more tourists can visit Korea as it recovers its pre-COVID-19 normalcy."
Meanwhile, starting in May, Asiana Airlines will increase operations to 18 flights per week on major routes. This includes routes departing from Incheon to the Americas, Japan, Asia, and Oceania. The airline plans to actively expand international flight routes in accordance with each country’s quarantine policies related to COVID-19.
