[Wando＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyung-pil] Park In-cheol, a preliminary candidate for Wando County Governor in Jeonnam, declared on the 27th that he would support preliminary candidate Shin Woo-cheol.
Earlier, on the 19th, Park was cut off from the Democratic Party Jeonnam Provincial Party’s Wando County Governor election primary candidate announcement.
On the morning of the 27th, Park visited Shin’s campaign office and, along with about 100 supporters, stated that after much consideration on "What will be the future of Wando County," he decided to support preliminary candidate Shin Woo-cheol for the future of the region.
Park added, “During my legislative activities, I had heated discussions with Governor Shin Woo-cheol about county administrative issues, and I saw his firm vision and philosophy for regional development,” emphasizing, “Shin is the right person to respond to the upcoming population extinction crisis and to revitalize the local economy based on the fisheries industry.”
In response, preliminary candidate Shin Woo-cheol said, “I sincerely thank preliminary candidate Park In-cheol for making a great decision to lead a successful Wando county administration for an uninterrupted future four years in the 8th term of the elected government.”
Meanwhile, the Democratic Party’s Wando County Governor candidate selection will hold the first primary from the 28th to the 29th, and if no candidate receives a majority, a second primary will be held from the 4th to the 5th of next month between the top two candidates to select the final candidate.
