Martial Arts, Export-Import Consultation Fair Held for Expansion into Western China Region

Supporting Market Expansion for Our Companies Facing Global Supply Chain Challenges

Martial Arts, Export-Import Consultation Fair Held for Expansion into Western China Region The "China Western Region Import-Export Consultation Meeting" hosted by the Korea International Trade Association (Chairman Gu Ja-yeol) on the 27th is taking place at COEX in Samseong-dong.

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] The Korea International Trade Association announced on the 27th that it held the 'Comprehensive Export-Import Consultation Meeting for Western China' at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul.

This consultation meeting was held to support our companies, which have been facing difficulties due to recent global supply chain issues, in developing new sales channels. The event was attended by more than 30 export-import companies, including major importers of materials, parts, and equipment from Western China, as well as companies in health functional foods, beauty, and healthcare products, conducting online consultations with over 50 domestic companies.

According to the Trade Association's Chengdu branch, as China’s external economic environment worsened due to the COVID-19 pandemic and prolonged US-China conflicts, the country has been emphasizing the development of the western region, transitioning to a domestic demand-centered economic structure, and fostering new industries such as eco-friendly technologies, artificial intelligence, and tourism. As a result, while China's economic growth rate was 4.8% in the first quarter, the economic growth rates of major western provinces and cities such as Sichuan Province (5.3%), Chongqing City (5.2%), and Guizhou Province (6.6%) exceeded the national average.

Kim Hyun-chul, head of the Trade Association's Global Cooperation Headquarters, said, “Western China is a region with high development potential supported by strong government policies, and we will strive to help our companies successfully enter this market.”
