[Jeongeup=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk announced on the 26th that the complex playground facility "Cheonsa Heroes," located in the Naejangsan Culture Plaza area, has reopened.
The city had a two-month closure period starting last month to ensure the safety of users and secure a pleasant play space, during which it reinforced playground equipment, installed safety fences, and renovated the restroom entrances, among other facility inspections.
In particular, a detailed safety inspection was conducted on playground equipment frequently used by children, and operational staff were increased to prevent safety accidents and improve services.
"Cheonsa Heroes" is a tourist facility created to promote a joyful and free play culture for people of all ages, reflecting the citizens' higher standards for quality of life.
Unlike traditional playgrounds, it can be used by various age groups and has the advantage of being accessible regardless of the weather throughout the four seasons.
The facility includes 17 types and 39 pieces of playground equipment such as tower climbing, high-altitude challengers, trampolines, and screen racing, which families from children to adults can enjoy together.
Play activity instructors and safety personnel are also stationed, and a convenience space has been created on the second floor for parents and citizens to rest.
Operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and it is closed every Monday.
Usage fees are 9,000 KRW per hour for children and adolescents, 8,000 KRW for adults, and 6,000 KRW for toddlers, with an additional 1,000 KRW charged every 10 minutes after the first hour.
Jeongeup citizens receive a 50% discount, and national veterans, persons with disabilities, basic livelihood security recipients, and single-parent families can receive discounts upon presenting relevant documentation.
A city official said, "Cheonsa Heroes is the largest indoor tourist playground facility in the province that anyone can enjoy regardless of age or gender. We will strive to contribute to the tourism industry and regional economic revitalization by linking it with nearby tourist resources such as the wild edible plant experience complex, camping site, and water leisure experiences around the Culture Plaza."
