[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Choi Chi-hyun, a preliminary candidate for Gwangsan District Mayor, announced on the 25th that he will measure the air quality around certain sections of Mujin-daero, also known as the '80m Road,' and prepare improvement measures.
Candidate Choi stated, "In recent years, many apartments have been built around the road, leading to numerous complaints from residents about poor air quality," adding, "Using the technology from the 'Citizen-Perceived Outdoor Air Quality Control Technology Development and Demonstration Project,' which has been underway since 2019 through the Regional Development Investment Agreement, we will accurately diagnose the road's air quality status and prepare and implement improvement measures."
He will also promote a 'customized air quality management plan' tailored to the environmental characteristics of each area in Gwangsan District.
Candidate Choi emphasized, "We will improve air quality so that Gwangsan residents can live in a more pleasant and clean environment, and create a win-win outcome where the air quality measurement and improvement technology, initiated through the Regional Development Investment Agreement, becomes a new growth engine for the region."
