Professor Jo Seongnam: "Jeon Dongpyeong embodies integrity and a future-oriented spirit of the times"

[Yeongam=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] Professor Cho Seong-nam of Sehan University declared his support for Jeon Dong-pyeong, a preliminary candidate challenging for a third term as Yeongam County Governor in Jeollanam-do.

Professor Cho Seong-nam and his supporters emphasized, "Preliminary candidate Jeon Dong-pyeong, a Democratic Party guardian who embodies integrity and a future-oriented spirit of the times, is the hope of Yeongam," and stated, "We will contribute to creating the Yeongam that the residents dream of."

In their declaration of support, they explained the background by saying, "We have witnessed that preliminary candidate Jeon has steadfastly supported the Democratic Party for over 35 years since 1987, without being involved in corruption, always standing on the side of justice, focusing solely on regional development and the residents, and moving forward."

They continued, "Preliminary candidate Jeon pledged to build a Yeongam that attracts youth by creating youth jobs, fostering the aviation industry, the automobile tuning industry, and transforming the Daebul National Industrial Complex into a youth-friendly industrial complex," adding, "He is leading support for vulnerable groups to build a welfare Yeongam where all residents are happy, including expanding the 100-won bus service for all residents, establishing a comprehensive welfare town for the disabled, and improving the treatment of care workers."

In response, Jeon Dong-pyeong, the preliminary candidate for Yeongam County Governor, said, "I will do my best to discuss the regional development pledges presented during the preliminary candidate selection with Professor Cho so that we can leap forward as a top county," and emphasized, "Although some are obsessed with tarnishing my reputation with baseless falsehoods, I will honestly move forward focusing only on the residents nearby."

Jeon Dong-pyeong, who is challenging for a third term as Yeongam County Governor for the first time in Yeongam's history, passed all processes flawlessly at the elected official evaluation committee, candidate verification committee, and nomination management review committee, ending controversies over negative campaigning.

Meanwhile, the Democratic Party's Yeongam County Governor candidate will be selected by reflecting 50% party members' votes and 50% residents' opinion polls by the 30th of this month, and after screening, the candidate will be finalized early next month.
