Expansion of Support Center Operations and Addition of Dedicated Team
Changwon City, Gyeongnam Province, is expanding the operation of the COVID-19 Living Support Fund Support Center.

Since the outbreak of the Omicron variant of COVID-19, the number of applications for living support funds for isolated individuals has exceeded 10 cases, and to provide stable and prompt support, the city is expanding the operation of the support center.
The existing COVID-19 related home care support counseling center's personnel and location will be repurposed as the Living Support Fund Support Center.
Centered on the city's Social Welfare Division, four dedicated teams consisting of 19 public officials and 17 auxiliary staff have been reorganized to handle support eligibility and payment decisions for living support fund applications at Seongsan Art Hall.
Citizens who have received hospitalization or isolation notices due to COVID-19 can apply for the living support fund at their local eup, myeon, or dong administrative welfare center within three months after isolation is lifted. If there is one isolated person in the household, they receive 100,000 KRW, and if two or more, 150,000 KRW in living support funds.
Lee Seonhee, Director of the Welfare, Women and Health Bureau, stated, “We will strengthen administrative efforts to ensure that living support funds are promptly provided to citizens facing difficulties due to COVID-19.”
