[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju University is taking the lead in supporting employment at public institutions relocated to Bitgaram Innovation City.
According to Gwangju University on the 25th, the University Job Center held recruitment briefings for KEPCO KPS, KEPCO KDN, and Korea Electric Power Corporation consecutively throughout April.
The recruitment briefings were organized to convey key information related to hiring at public institutions relocated to Bitgaram Innovation City to current students and to boost their confidence in employment.
Prior to this, recruitment briefings were held last month for Korea Rural Community Corporation and Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation. On the 13th of next month, a recruitment briefing for the Korea Internet & Security Agency will be held at the school’s Hosimgwan.
Gwangju University, which was selected as ‘Excellent’ in the 2021 University Job Center Operation Performance Evaluation hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Employment Information Service, operates various programs to strengthen students’ employment capabilities.
In particular, it plans and supports programs such as the NCS Job Aptitude Test Competition for successful employment in public enterprises, certificate classes by department, resume and mock interview competitions, and youth employment policy competitions.
Additionally, in the first semester of this year, it has consecutively held mentor special lectures, personal color consulting, overseas employment briefings, and corporate visit field training programs.
The Gwangju University Job Center plans to activate student employment support in cooperation with International Career Co., Ltd., Regional Employment Policy Institute, and Gwangju Human Resources Development Center of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
