[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Bora Network announced on the 25th that it will issue non-fungible tokens (NFTs) for the casual golf game ‘BirdieShot Enjoy&Earn,’ currently being developed by Metabora, a subsidiary of Kakao Games.
These NFTs will be issued on the blockchain platform BORA Portal over two days, from the 25th to the 26th. On the first day, 200 out of a total of 1,000 NFTs will be sold exclusively to the ‘whitelist’ pre-purchase group, and on the 26th, 800 NFTs will be sold to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
Bora Network will airdrop ‘1000 tBORA’ to one randomly selected person once the prepared quantity is sold out. Additionally, holders of three or more BirdieShot NFTs will be guaranteed ‘200 tBORA’.
Furthermore, Metabora plans to offer benefits to future character NFT holders, including ▲ airdrops of game tokens (BIRDIE Token) upon game launch ▲ whitelist privileges when golf course NFTs are issued ▲ partnership benefits with Kakao VX, which is conducting golf-related business.
‘BirdieShot’ is the blockchain game version of ‘FriendsShot: Anyone Can Golf,’ which is currently serviced in Korea. Players can create their own golf teams and compete with various players on golf courses around the world.
Users can earn CON, the in-game currency, by winning matches against other users and exchange it for tokens on the BORA Portal to generate revenue. They can also turn their developed characters into NFTs and trade them.
