Man in his 40s overlaps some routes with victim
Disappears after incident occurred
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] The police are tracking a suspect in connection with the case of a woman in her 60s found dead in Gangseo-gu, Seoul.
The Gangseo Police Station in Seoul announced on the 24th, "We are tracking a man in his 40s, Mr. B, who appears to be a prime suspect in the case where a woman in her 60s, Ms. A, was found dead on the 22nd."
According to the police, Mr. B's movements overlapped with the victim's on the 21st, and he disappeared after the incident occurred.
A police official stated, "There are no clear circumstances indicating a motive for the crime, such as family relations, financial issues, or grudges."
The victim, Ms. A, was found dead by police who responded to a report from a social worker stating that they could not contact her, at an apartment in Deungchon-dong, Gangseo-gu, at approximately 3:46 p.m. on the 22nd.
At the time of discovery, Ms. A was reportedly found with some parts of her body, including her hands and feet, bound. Subsequently, the police received a verbal opinion from the National Forensic Service suggesting signs of homicide, leading them to identify a suspect.
