Wildfire in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do... Extinguished in Two and a Half Hours

[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] A wildfire broke out in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, and was extinguished in two and a half hours.

On the 21st, around 3 p.m., a wildfire occurred in Buksan-myeon, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon Province. The forestry authorities deployed five helicopters and about 100 firefighters to extinguish the fire, completing the main fire suppression by 5:35 p.m.

There were no casualties, and the forestry authorities are investigating the cause of the fire and the damage area while cleaning up the remaining flames.
