Doosan Construction Wins Contract for Gwandong Pharmaceutical Gwacheon New Office Building Construction Exterior Perspective View of Kwangdong Pharmaceutical


[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] Doosan Construction announced on the 21st that it has won the contract for the construction of the new Gwandong Pharmaceutical headquarters in Gwacheon.


The new Gwandong Pharmaceutical headquarters in Gwacheon is planned to be built in Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town, Gwacheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, with a site area of 2,396m2, a total floor area of 23,376m2, and will consist of 6 basement floors and 15 above-ground floors. The contract amount is approximately 54.9 billion KRW. The construction period is about 26 months, from this May to July 2024.


Prior to this, in April, Doosan Construction signed preliminary contracts (approximately 238.5 billion KRW) for three projects: the Anyang Samsin 6th redevelopment project located in Hogye-dong, Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do; the Incheon Jemulpo Market redevelopment and maintenance project located in Sungui-dong, Hol, Incheon; and the district housing redevelopment and maintenance project in Songnim-dong, Dong-gu, Incheon.


The Anyang Samsin 6th redevelopment project is planned to be newly constructed in the Hogye-dong area of Anyang-si, consisting of 6 buildings with 456 households and auxiliary welfare facilities, ranging from 2 basement floors to 32 above-ground floors. This project is located 5 minutes away from Geumjeong Station (GTX-C planned), where subway lines 1 and 4 pass through. Additionally, it has abundant residential demand due to its proximity to the Anyang IT complex and Gunpo Jeil Industrial Complex.


The Incheon Jemulpo Market redevelopment and maintenance project is planned to build a residential-commercial complex with 2 buildings and 282 households, ranging from 3 basement floors to 27 above-ground floors, in the Sungui-dong area of Michuhol-gu, Incheon. The complex has excellent transportation conditions with nearby Jemulpo Station on subway line 1, the 1st and 2nd Gyeongin Expressways, and Gyeongin-ro. It also offers excellent educational conditions with Sungui Elementary School and Incheon Nam Middle School nearby.


The Jemulpo Market redevelopment and maintenance project is adjacent to Doosan We've the Zenith Central Yeoui, which was recently sold. It is an area expected to see significant improvement in the residential environment of the old downtown due to its designation as the second phase of the urban complex project.


The Incheon Seorim district housing redevelopment and maintenance project is planned to be newly constructed in the Songnim-dong area of Incheon Metropolitan City, consisting of 8 apartment buildings with 381 households and auxiliary welfare facilities, ranging from 2 basement floors to 24 above-ground floors.
