[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Choi Ki-bong, the preliminary candidate for mayor of Geochang County from the People Power Party, said, “I have been confirmed as the candidate for the Geochang County mayoral primary thanks to the overwhelming love and support from the county residents and party members,” adding, “This is the will of the residents who long for change in Geochang through generational replacement.”

On the 21st, candidate Choi stated, “Since starting my public service career in 1982, I have accumulated diverse administrative and political experience as the chief secretary to the Governor of Gyeongnam Province and as a policy advisor to a member of the National Assembly, as well as a rich personal network in the central government,” emphasizing, “I will definitely lead Geochang’s change and innovative growth through overwhelming support.”

He expressed confidence, saying, “The candidate who meets the needs of the times and the flow of the era is none other than Choi Ki-bong. All Geochang residents know that I am the candidate who can pour a budget bomb into Geochang.”

He also said, “This is an important time to move forward toward a new Geochang and the future, and the election should be one where proper policy competition takes place and candidates are evaluated based on their capabilities.”
