KOCCA, Discovering and Supporting OTT Specialized Content Planning Proposals

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced on the 20th that they will discover and support K-content planning proposals specialized for online video services (OTT). They are holding a contest for OTT-linked broadcast video content planning proposals until the 9th of next month. They will select mid- to short-length proposals with innovative ideas and provide 25 million KRW per work. This includes five dramas between 100 and 400 minutes and five entertainment or cultural programs over 50 minutes. The Korea Creative Content Agency will promote commercialization at the IP distribution consultation meeting for broadcast content planning and development in June. Additional points will be given when applying for next year's broadcast video content production support project. Kim Sang-hyun, head of the Broadcast Video Division at the Korea Creative Content Agency, said, "We will proactively discover and support promising proposals from small and medium-sized broadcast video production companies and creators at the early planning and development stage."
