[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Andaz Seoul Gangnam announced on the 18th that it will introduce the first-ever hotel-integrated Non-Fungible Token (NFT) art gallery project in Korea.

The 'Hotel NFT Gallery,' conducted in collaboration with KT, showcases NFT digital art through the LED screens in the lobby on the first floor and the swimming pool on the second basement floor of Andaz Seoul Gangnam. The exhibition, titled 'Enter X: Monghwangyeong (夢幻境),' will run for one month until May 15. Visitors to the hotel can view various exhibits and purchase artworks directly. The hotel stated, "Since elements favored by young artists are reflected throughout the hotel, we expect a high synergy effect with the NFT art gallery." A launch event will be held at Andaz Seoul Gangnam on the 20th, featuring participating artists, live talks, and artwork explanations among other programs.

This exhibition was planned to offer a differentiated experience within the hotel space. The concept is 'Monghwangyeong,' meaning 'landscape of dreams and illusions.' Notable digital artists such as Park Jeong-in, Kim Nuri, Nakta, and Regina Kim are participating to present a new dimension of space. Six artworks will be displayed in the hotel lobby and three in the swimming pool, totaling nine pieces. The exhibition runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with displays every hour on the hour and at 15-minute intervals. Additional information about the artworks can be accessed via QR codes linking to the NFT market platform. Customers wishing to purchase can trade directly on the platform. There are a total of 14 purchasable artworks, each with 20 editions available.

Juan Mercadante, General Manager of Andaz Seoul Gangnam, said, "We are holding this exhibition to expand artists' activity areas by providing space within the hotel and to offer rich visual experiences and new encounters to customers and visitors," adding, "Considering that the main customer age group of the hotel is late 20s to late 30s, we believe this attempt will have an even greater impact."
