Participation in the Largest Domestic AI Exhibition 'Gukje In Gong Ji Neung Daejeon'
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] K-Future Tech, a subsidiary of Gaon Media, showcased a solution applied to an XR (Extended Reality) device it independently developed for a maritime vessel collision prevention system at Korea's largest AI specialized exhibition.
K-Future Tech announced on the 18th that it exhibited its XR solution at the "International Artificial Intelligence Expo (AI EXPO KOREA 2022)" held from the 13th to the 15th.
This solution is a technology that effectively prevents collisions between multiple vessels by receiving real-time data linked with various sensors on maritime vessels and visualizing it on XR devices. This is the first case of successful application to a domestically produced XR device.
A company official stated, "There is a lack of domestically produced XR device finished products in Korea, so most equipment used is foreign-made. Especially in the public sector, demands for localization technology are increasing." He added, "Based on the track record of supplying XR devices developed with our own technology to the National Police Agency, K-Future Tech plans to expand the scope of application to replace foreign equipment in the public sector."
Meanwhile, K-Future Tech, established last year, is a company promoting new businesses such as XR solutions, robot integration platforms, and network solutions. On the 6th, it announced that it has filed a patent related to indoor and outdoor driving robots and is moving forward with full-scale commercialization.
