[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Jo Seongcheol, the Democratic Party preliminary candidate for Hampyeong County Governor in the June 1 local elections, held an opening ceremony for his campaign office under the slogan "A New Hampyeong, a Young and Capable Worker."

At the opening ceremony, many county residents, including National Assembly member Yoon Youngdeok and preliminary candidates for city and provincial councilors, visited to wish for his victory. National Assembly members Park Kwangon and Kim Jongmin also sent congratulatory videos, making the event a great success.

Additionally, Ki Dongmin, Song Gapseok, Shin Jeonghun, and Seo Samsuk sent congratulatory flower wreaths, wishing for his victory in both the party primary and the general election.

Preliminary candidate Jo Seongcheol emphasized, "I will not engage in politics where county residents feel pressured by politicians due to overheated elections, nor politics where politicians divide the people. Instead of politics of conflict and division, politicians will join forces to create development through united strength."

He continued, "I will make Hampyeong a prosperous rural area where farmers, fishermen, and livestock farmers all thrive," and raised his voice, saying, "By linking the 4th industrial revolution with agriculture, we will establish an agricultural production technology industrial complex to overcome the crisis of rural extinction."

Meanwhile, candidate Jo Seongcheol is drawing attention for fostering a change in election culture by unifying candidates among the five prospective Hampyeong County Governor candidates (Kim Youngso, Ok Buho, Jeong Munho, Im Yongsoo, Jo Seongcheol, and Kim Seongchan) and being selected as the unified candidate, thereby reducing conflict and discord.
