[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Yeongdeungpo-gu (Mayor Chae Hyun-il) completely restricted vehicle traffic and installed barricades on April 8 along a 1.7km section from the south end of Seogang Bridge to the Uiwonhoe-gwan intersection to operate the Yeouiseo-ro Spring Flower Road.

Due to early heat and spring rain accelerating the cherry blossom fall, the district changed the traffic control schedule to lift the restriction at 11 a.m. on April 14, four days earlier than the original date of April 18.

Mayor Chae Hyun-il said, “Due to the earlier-than-expected cherry blossom fall, the opening schedule of the Yeouiseo-ro Spring Flower Road was shortened,” adding, “I hope that next spring we can enjoy the spring flowers without masks in a peaceful daily life.”
