In particular, through the 'Sewol Ferry Comes to School' project led by the Office of Education, a memorial event centered on the student council will be held, and videos will be broadcasted to each classroom to provide time to remember the Sewol Ferry disaster once again.
Kim Dong-hyuk, the student council president who organized the memorial event, said, "It is regrettable that the Sewol Ferry incident seems to be forgotten while the truth has not been properly revealed," and added, "All of us at Ildong Middle School sincerely pray that the souls of our seniors who could not even realize their dreams and withered away will fly freely, and we will not forget and will remember them."
