In this extraordinary meeting, which is the last session of the 8th council, a total of 34 agenda items will be reviewed and resolved, including 23 ordinances such as the 1st supplementary budget for 2022 and the ordinance on the operation of the quasi-public bus system in Jinju city, as well as 8 consent items.
A special budget and accounts committee will be formed to review the 1st supplementary budget for 2022, and it will be active from the 18th to the 19th, with Councilor Im Ki-hyang elected as the chairperson.
Chairperson Im Ki-hyang stated, “Since this year’s first supplementary budget includes a large amount of funds related to COVID-19 projects and support for vulnerable groups and small business owners affected by the economic downturn, we will carefully review to ensure that citizens’ tax money is used appropriately and effectively.”
The extraordinary meeting will review ordinances and supplementary budgets by standing committees, and the 8th council’s schedule will conclude with the 2nd plenary session on the 20th.
