[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] On the 14th, the Gwangju Regional Tax Office held a blood donation event at the Gwangju Government Complex.
The event was conducted in compliance with quarantine guidelines, with voluntary participation from employees, to contribute to the stabilization of blood supply, which has faced difficulties due to the spread of COVID-19, and to promote the culture of blood donation.
Director Lee Pan-sik said, "I hope this will help even a little with the shortage of blood supply in medical settings," and added, "I am grateful to the employees who actively participated in the blood donation event by taking the lead during these difficult times."
Since January, the Gwangju Regional Tax Office has been steadily practicing love-sharing in the local community by actively participating in various social contribution activities such as visiting social welfare facilities in January, life-saving blood donations in February, and donating funds to wildfire-affected areas in March.
Going forward, the office plans to continue fulfilling its social responsibilities as a public institution by supporting the recovery from COVID-19 and providing warm tax administration together with the public.
