KCC Eliminates Paper Newsletters to Boost Digital Internal Communication

[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Minjae] KCC has discontinued its printed company magazine 'KCC World,' which has been published since 1993, with the final issue being volume 346, and has integrated it into a webzine this year to strengthen digital communication.

On the 14th, KCC announced that the 'KCC Webzine' achieved approximately 100,000 views during the first quarter of this year, receiving positive responses both inside and outside the company.

Until last year, KCC simultaneously published both the printed magazine and the webzine to establish a digital operational foundation. After publishing 346 issues over 29 years from January 1993 to December 2021, the printed magazine was discontinued, and from January this year, KCC has fully transitioned to publishing the webzine to enhance digital communication.

The monthly webzine has built a digital environment that allows consumers to easily access information related to recently strengthened ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) activities, as well as B2B partners, products, and business areas. Additionally, to strengthen internal communication, content involving direct participation from employees has been expanded. Video content, differentiated from the text- and image-centered magazine, has been significantly increased.

A KCC representative stated, "The transition of the company magazine, which plays an important role as a communication channel, from print to digital symbolizes KCC's transformation. As a global materials chemical company, we will strive to provide employees and consumers with useful and diverse content without restrictions of time and place."
