Wemade's 'Wemix' Governance Partner Joined by Kakao Games

[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Wemade announced on the 14th that Kakao Games has joined as a governance partner of its blockchain game platform WEMIX.

Based on this, the two companies will participate in mutual governance to jointly promote ecosystem expansion. WEMIX plans to actively expand its governance partners starting with Kakao Games' participation.

Previously, Wemade also participated in the governance council of Kakao Games' blockchain ecosystem BORA. In February, the roadmap and partners were revealed through the BORA 2.0 Partners Day.

Wemade is conducting business across the blockchain spectrum including games, wallets, DeFi (decentralized finance), and NFTs (non-fungible tokens) based on the blockchain platform WEMIX. The self-issued WEMIX token is listed on major domestic exchanges including the top four in Korea, as well as numerous major overseas exchanges.

Jang Hyun-guk, CEO of Wemade, said, “Based on blockchain interoperability, various chains will eventually be connected,” and added, “We will do our best to expand the WEMIX ecosystem and become a dominant blockchain.”
