Recruiting Participating Companies Until the 29th
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Daegu City, together with Daegu Technopark, has embarked on attracting investment for local companies and revitalizing KOSDAQ listings (IPO).
Daegu City is recruiting companies to participate in the ‘Daegu Scale-up TIPS and Listing (IPO) Support Project,’ which supports investment attraction and listings (IPO) for local small and venture companies, until the 29th of this month.
This project, implemented for the first time this year, provides various customized programs such as investor (VC) matching, online and offline ongoing demo days, IR training and seminars, and company-specific support to local companies wishing to attract investment and go public.
The company-specific support program is operated in a dual structure according to each company’s situation and needs.
It plans to operate the ‘Scale-up TIPS Support Program,’ a representative R&D support project by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups for companies seeking investment, and the ‘Listing Support Program’ for companies expected to go public within the next 2 to 3 years, to help companies grow.
Participating companies are small and medium-sized enterprises and mid-sized companies with headquarters and business sites in Daegu, and the plan is to support local venture startups aiming for 10 new listings by 2026.
The support includes up to 50 million KRW in a single or package form covering all areas necessary for listing preparation such as business model advancement consulting, marketing support related to Scale-up TIPS, introduction of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and establishment of internal control systems.
Jung Hae-yong, Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs of Daegu City, said, “We hope that excellent technology companies will lay the foundation for listing on the stock market and grow into unicorn companies representing not only the region but also South Korea.”
