Jangseong-gun Launches Safety Inspection Day Campaign

[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong County in Jeonnam announced on the 12th that it conducted a 'Safety Inspection Day' campaign together with the county safety security officers on the 11th.

This event was promoted to explain the coverage details and claim methods of the residents' safety insurance to the residents of commercial districts in Jangseong-eup and to inform them about COVID-19 daily quarantine guidelines.

The residents' safety insurance, which the county implements for all residents, started in 2019 and is now in its fourth year.

If registered as a Jangseong resident in the resident registration, one is automatically enrolled without any separate subscription procedures.

The coverage items include treatment costs for injuries from school zone traffic accidents, as well as 14 categories such as ▲natural disasters like heatstroke and sunstroke ▲explosions, fires, collapses ▲public transportation accidents ▲hit-and-run, uninsured vehicles ▲robbery ▲drowning accidents ▲injury death and aftereffects from agricultural machinery safety accidents.

This year, in preparation for the super-aged society, a new coverage item called 'Silver Zone treatment costs' was added.

If a resident aged 65 or older suffers traffic accident injuries in an elderly protection zone (Silver Zone), compensation is provided differentially according to the grade.

Participants in the campaign then visited sites such as children's playground facilities in Jangseong Park to conduct safety inspections.

A county official said, "We will continue to promote residents' safety insurance steadily" and "We will also continuously carry out safety inspections of facilities in the region."
