Nengonggu-TeamWiper, MOU for Promoting Self-Car Wash and Win-Win Cooperation


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] N-Gonggu announced on the 12th that it has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote joint marketing between N-Gonggu and Team Wiper and to advance the culture of self-car washing.


N-Gonggu is the leading domestic distributor operating the car wash supplies e-commerce platform ‘N-Gonggu,’ holding the number one market share in Korea. It supplies over 300 domestic and international detailing brand products preferred by self-car wash enthusiasts at affordable prices, enjoying high popularity.


Team Wiper is the industry’s number one company that developed Korea’s first non-face-to-face car wash service reservation app ‘Wiper.’ Users can charge points on their smartphones and easily use them at self-car wash stations. The app has surpassed 50,000 cumulative downloads.


According to this agreement, N-Gonggu customers will receive Wiper car wash service vouchers, and Wiper customers will be offered benefits for purchasing car wash supplies from N-Gonggu, increasing partnership promotions.


In particular, self-car washing has been a typical offline cash-based business, making online marketing or promotions difficult. However, through this partnership, it is expected that the synergy between the two companies will be maximized by actively providing O2O services that combine the purchase of car wash supplies with the use rights of self-car wash stations.


Choi Man-su, CEO of N-Gonggu, said, “We are pleased to introduce N-Gonggu’s self-car wash supplies to Wiper users, who use the most innovative app in the car wash industry,” adding, “If the two companies cooperate, it will further promote the activation and virtuous cycle of innovation in the self-car wash market.”


Moon Hyun-gu, CEO of Team Wiper, stated, “In the case of existing self-car wash stations, most sales were passive, simply opening the station and waiting for customers to come,” and added, “By providing high-quality N-Gonggu car wash supplies to Wiper customers, we will be able to accelerate more active sales at Wiper-affiliated car wash stations and plan to continuously introduce related marketing.”


The partnership promotions and benefits between the two companies are expected to be concretized and launched soon throughout the year.
