[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol visited Andong, Gyeongbuk, as his first regional tour schedule on the 11th and said, "I ask you to think of me as a son of Andong, a son of Gyeongbuk."

On that day, during his visit to the Gyeongsangbuk-do Confucian Culture Center, President-elect Yoon stated, "When I take office as president and run the government, I will do my best to ensure that the entire nation properly understands our country's history, learns about our ancestors, roots, and their culture correctly, and can take pride in our history."

He added, "Our society does not pay attention to history and ancestors, nor to our roots, and it is not properly taught in schools, so the growing youth do not properly understand their identity. As a result, it is difficult for them to maintain pride and self-esteem. This is creating various difficulties in our society." He continued, "The Andong Confucian elders' Yudohoe are providing excellent teachings to the entire nation and the younger generation."
