[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jun-yi] The Democratic Party of Korea has formed a central party election management committee to prepare for the June 1 local elections and appointed Lee Hak-young, a three-term Democratic Party lawmaker, as the chairman.

On the 11th, the Democratic Party held an emergency committee meeting and resolved this matter. Jo Oh-seop, the Democratic Party spokesperson, told reporters right after the emergency meeting, "The election management committee members will be formed this week."
