Gwangju Nambu Fire Station Conducts Firefighting Relics Collection and Donation Campaign

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Gwangju Southern Fire Station announced on the 10th that it is conducting a campaign to collect and donate firefighting artifacts to preserve and exhibit historical firefighting materials through the establishment of the National Fire Museum.

The donation period is year-round, and anyone nationwide can donate. Firefighting artifacts can include anything related to firefighting regardless of size or type, from fire trucks to small badges, as well as documents, photos, booklets, uniforms, and other firefighting-related items.

To donate, visit the Firefighting Artifact Archive website, select 'Artifact Donation Campaign,' download and fill out the 'Firefighting Artifact Donation Application' at the bottom of the page, and send it by mail or email to the National Fire Museum.

Donors will receive a donation certificate, invitations to various important events and exhibition openings, inclusion of their names in the Hall of Fame, and other various benefits as a token of appreciation.

Kim Haeng-mo, Director of Prevention and Safety, stated, “We ask for the active interest and participation of many citizens in the campaign to collect and donate firefighting artifacts so that these valuable firefighting relics, which contain historically significant firefighting history, can be well preserved.”
