[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province is seeking ideas for tourism souvenirs.
Geochang-gun is conducting the "2022 Geochang-gun Tourism Souvenir Contest" to discover unique and practical tourism souvenirs that express the region's history, cultural characteristics, and symbolism.
The selected representative tourism souvenirs will be produced or exhibited and sold at tourism fairs to promote Geochang-gun. Each business can submit up to 5 works.
Any business located in Geochang-gun is eligible to participate. The submission period is from September 21 to 30, and entries must be submitted along with related documents.
The contest entries will be evaluated by a panel of expert judges based on the suitability as tourism souvenirs, excellence and creativity of design, and ease of distribution, with winners announced in October.
The total prize money is 8.5 million KRW, with △ 1 Grand Prize (3 million KRW) △ 2 Silver Prizes (1.5 million KRW each) △ 3 Bronze Prizes (500,000 KRW each) △ 5 Honorable Mentions (100,000 KRW each) and △ Participation Awards (50,000 KRW each) planned to be awarded.
Jo Ho-kyung, Director of the Culture and Tourism Division, said, "We look forward to many participants in the Geochang-gun Tourism Souvenir Contest," and added, "We plan to discover tourism souvenirs that can represent Geochang and use them for promotion."
