30 Weeks of Theory and Practical Classes

Gyeongsang National University, Admission for the 14th Class of Cham Jinju Women's University The entrance ceremony of Chamjinju Women's University is being held.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Gyeongsang National University Lifelong Education Center held the entrance ceremony for the 14th Cham Jinju Women's University in the large conference room on the first floor of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Building at Chilam Campus.


The ceremony was attended by Chu Gap-cheol, Director of the Lifelong Education Center, Jo Gyu-il, Mayor of Jinju, Lee Sang-young, Chairman of the Jinju City Council, Yang Ja-young, President of the Cham Jinju Women's University Alumni Association, 37 new students, and about 50 people in total.


'Cham Jinju Women's University' is a community women's leadership training program targeting women under 65 years old residing in Jinju City.


The education program runs for 30 weeks from April to December. Classes include theory in humanities, self-development, leadership capacity enhancement, family friendliness, health, and practical sessions such as the Cheon Art Healing class.


Director Chu Gap-cheol said, “A leader needs to listen carefully to members' opinions and be considerate to help them fully demonstrate their creativity,” adding, “I hope you learn the leadership that women should develop through differentiated professional education and liberal arts lectures over the course of a year.”


Mayor Jo Gyu-il said, “I hope Jinju women develop leadership and capabilities, strengthen self-development, and participate more in politics and society,” and added, “I hope women's leadership becomes a new source of vitality for Jinju.”


The 'Cham Jinju Women's University General Alumni Association' congratulated the new students by donating 1 million won to the university development fund.


Yang Ja-young, President of the Women's University General Alumni Association, said, “As women's social participation gradually increases and employment opportunities expand, women's interest in learning is growing day by day,” and added, “Graduates of the Women's University will unite their strength to contribute to the development of Jinju City and Gyeongsang National University.”


'Gyeongsang National University Cham Jinju Women's University' was launched in 2009 to cultivate female leaders who respond to the era of globalization and informatization.
