Each Company Joins '2022 Daehanminguk Accommodation Grand Sale' Competing with Differentiated Benefits
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] E-commerce companies and travel platform providers are launching various travel products and offering significant discounts in a series of promotional events to welcome spring. In particular, they are competing with differentiated services by participating in the '2022 Korea Accommodation Festival with ESG,' hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization.
Tmon is participating in this Korea Accommodation Festival, providing exclusive benefits including an additional 10% discount and up to 20,000 KRW off, in addition to issuing domestic accommodation discount coupons for all citizens nationwide. A total of 1 million discount coupons will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis during the festival. Customers can receive a 20,000 KRW discount coupon if the accommodation fee is 70,000 KRW or less, and a 30,000 KRW discount coupon if it exceeds 70,000 KRW. Customers who obtain coupons from Tmon will receive up to an additional 10% instant discount on top of the basic accommodation festival discount, and if they pay with KakaoPay, they can get further discounts of 2,500 KRW for purchases over 50,000 KRW, 5,000 KRW over 70,000 KRW, 10,000 KRW over 100,000 KRW, and 20,000 KRW over 200,000 KRW. Tmon has prepared a variety of domestic accommodation products at over 30,000 locations nationwide, including Jeju Island.
Wemakeprice (WMP) has also prepared about 10,000 domestic accommodation products such as hotels, resorts, and pensions for this event. Exclusive benefits for WMP customers include a maximum 10% discount coupon that can be used in combination with other offers. When paying with affiliated cards, customers receive a 5% point accumulation benefit.
Yanolja is also participating in the accommodation festival with exclusive benefits. All customers participating through Yanolja will receive rewards equivalent to 10% of the payment amount (up to 10,000 KRW). Additionally, when purchasing accommodations in Gangwon-do, Jeju, or Busan regions together with leisure or transportation products, customers receive rewards worth up to 30%. When paying with simple payment services or affiliated cards, up to 10% overlapping discounts apply. Combining the accommodation festival coupons with Yanolja’s exclusive benefits allows customers to enjoy domestic travel at discounts of up to 70%.
MyRealTrip is commemorating the accommodation festival by issuing a total accommodation coupon pack worth 75,000 KRW to all customers who receive coupons, and among those who use the coupons, 10 customers will be selected by lottery to receive 1 million KRW in travel points. Additionally, customers who pay 70,000 KRW or more via Toss Pay after using the coupon will receive an extra 5% discount, limited to the first 3,000 customers.
