[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Gu In-mo, the preliminary candidate of the People Power Party, declared his intention to run again for the position of Geochang County Governor on the 7th at the rotary square in front of Geochang County Office, pledging to "open an era of Geochang's future where everyone wants to live."
Candidate Gu said, "There were many worries and conflicts before deciding to run, but I accepted the support and interest of the residents, as well as their demand to lead the county administration stably, and decided to walk that path once again."
Candidate Gu evaluated that the projects promised to the residents achieved the best results in history, and he praised himself for overcoming the three major county administration challenges together with the residents: the construction of the Geochang Detention Center, which caused conflicts and discord among residents for several years; the purchase of the trademark for the International Theater Festival; and the relocation within the Geochang Branch and District Prosecutor's Office Legal Town.
He also promised to create a new sports map for Geochang by completing large-scale tourism projects that will become new vitality for future Geochang, such as the opening of Gyeongnam's first local garden, Changpoweon, the Y-shaped suspension bridge, Geochang Anti-aging Healing Land, and Gamaksan Wellness Experience Center, known as the Wind Garden of Geochang. He pledged to continuously promote the construction of a park golf course within the second Changpoweon, the second sports park, a multipurpose gymnasium, and all-weather gateball courts in all towns and townships.
His top 10 pledges include ▲establishing a master plan for Geochang as a future education city, promoting elevator industry talent development and tuition support projects for university students in the area ▲building a youth startup support center to create a young city attracting youth ▲strengthening future agricultural competitiveness by nurturing and supporting young farmers and expanding smart farms ▲and promoting economic revitalization centered on the elevator industry.
He also announced pledges such as ▲entering the era of one million forest tourists ▲constructing an art gallery and art exhibition hall, and creating a theater and arts complex ▲establishing Geochang Medical Welfare Town, building a crematorium and public senior housing ▲expanding the county integrated control center and building a smart city integrated platform ▲constructing the county's second government office and the second office for the town hall ▲building urban climate crisis infrastructure and declaring a carbon-neutral city through the establishment of a climate crisis response master plan.
Candidate Gu In-mo appealed for support, saying, "I am the right person to reflect the continuity and sustainable development of the county administration and the dreams and thoughts of the residents into reality.
