On the 6th, the People Power Party Floor Leader Election Management Committee announced that as of 5 p.m. on the same day, Kwon Seong-dong, a four-term lawmaker from Gangwon, and Cho Hae-jin, a three-term lawmaker from Gyeongnam, had registered as candidates.

As a result of the number drawing, Lawmaker Cho was assigned number 1, and Lawmaker Kwon was assigned number 2.

The general assembly of lawmakers to elect the floor leader will be held at 10 a.m. on the 8th.
