Near Hampyeong Cheonji Traditional Market: Commercial and Residential Properties
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Hampyeong County is making every effort to protect residents' property rights.
On the 6th, the county announced that it is proceeding with administrative procedures to sell state-owned land included in commercial buildings and houses near Hampyeong Cheonji Traditional Market to the owners of the buildings.
Until now, residents who wanted to rebuild or newly construct old commercial buildings and houses faced restrictions in exercising their property rights because the land included state-owned property, making it impossible to obtain legal permits.
Accordingly, in June last year, the county established a plan to abolish the use of administrative properties that lost their administrative purpose and conducted surveys on five parcels of state-owned land included in buildings.
Additionally, compensation fees were collected from 14 unauthorized occupants, and after converting the properties to general assets, management was transferred to the Korea Asset Management Corporation.
Currently, an appraisal is underway, and once the payment notice for the sale price imposed on the building owners is completed in April, the final sale is expected to be completed around May.
A county official stated, “We plan to actively identify state and public properties that cause inconvenience to residents and proceed with the procedure to abolish their use,” adding, “We will also do our best to efficiently manage administrative properties.”
