“Young People’s Stepping Stone!” … Busan City Announces 2nd Recruitment for ‘Youth Social Entry Activity Support Project’ Busan City Hall.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan City will accept applications from young people who wish to participate in the ‘2022 Youth Social Entry Activity Support (Youth Didimdol Card+) Project’ from the 8th to the 18th of this month.

The ‘Youth Didimdol Card+’ is a project that supports the economic costs incurred by young people during the job preparation process, helping them to focus on job-seeking activities.

Following the selection and support of 550 people in February, another 550 will be selected in the second recruitment.

Unemployed youth aged 18 to 34 residing in Busan will receive a total of 3 million KRW over six months, with 500,000 KRW provided monthly to cover direct and indirect costs related to job-seeking activities.

Youth can use the support funds for expenses such as obtaining certifications, exam fees, academy fees, purchasing textbooks, meals, transportation, stationery, and cultural activities.

In addition to job-seeking expenses, the city will also operate customized employment and start-up programs to strengthen the employment capabilities of young people.

Youth wishing to participate in the project can apply on the Youth Didimdol Card website from 2 p.m. on the 8th until 6 p.m. on the 18th. The final selected candidates will be announced on May 23. The job-seeking support funds will be paid from June to November.

Ko Mi-ja, Director of Youth Industry-Academia Start-up at Busan City, said, “We will continue to discover and promote practical support projects so that young people can enter society through employment and start-ups and become independent.”
