In a spokesperson's statement on the same day, the Ministry said, "Our government welcomes the establishment of a two-month ceasefire agreement in Yemen, thanks to the mediation of the UN Special Envoy for Yemen and the efforts of related countries such as Saudi Arabia and Oman. We hope that all parties will faithfully implement the ceasefire agreement so that it can lead to lasting peace within Yemen."

Furthermore, it added, "Our government reaffirms its support for the efforts of the UN and the international community for peace and stability in Yemen, and plans to provide humanitarian aid worth 20 million dollars this year to help resolve the humanitarian crisis in Yemen."

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had previously announced plans to provide humanitarian aid worth 20 million dollars at the 'High-Level Pledging Event for the Yemen Humanitarian Crisis Response' held on the 17th of last month.
