Sambu Construction Wins 109 Billion KRW Contract for 'Gyeongsan Logistics Warehouse New Construction'

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Sambutogeon announced on the 4th that it has won the contract for the construction of a new logistics warehouse in Gyeongsan.

This project, ordered by Value Corporation, is a logistics warehouse planned to be built on the site of Block 2-4 in the Gyeongsan 4 General Industrial Complex, Sinje-ri, Jinryang-eup, Gyeongsan-si, Gyeongbuk, with a total floor area of 98,601 square meters (29,827 pyeong), consisting of 2 basement floors and 12 above-ground floors. The basement floors will be used as cold storage, while the above-ground floors will serve as ambient temperature storage.

The contract amount is 109 billion KRW, which corresponds to 34% of last year's sales of 320.6 billion KRW, and the construction period is 24 months.

Gyeongsan is the third most populous city in Gyeongsangbuk-do, located in the central southern part of the province. The Gyeongsan 4 General Industrial Complex is adjacent to Daegu Metropolitan City at about 12 km and is located within approximately 5 km in a straight line (about 10 minutes by car) from Gyeongsan IC, providing excellent highway accessibility.

Additionally, it is possible to use the Gyeongbu Expressway, the New Daegu-Busan Expressway, Dongdaegu Station (KTX), and Daegu International Airport. It is adjacent to National Road No. 4 and Local Road No. 69, and well connected by provincial roads, making it a key hub city in the Yeongnam inland area with excellent regional infrastructure. It is a transportation hub with favorable industrial, transportation, and logistics conditions linked to the Southeast cluster including Ulsan, Pohang, and Changwon.

According to a Sambutogeon official, “Following the total contract wins of 194.2 billion KRW in the first quarter of this year, we have secured new orders worth 303.2 billion KRW with the recent contract for the Gyeongsan logistics warehouse construction, bringing our order backlog to approximately 1.62 trillion KRW.”

He added, “This year, we are accelerating company growth by achieving orders in the first quarter equivalent to last year’s total sales.”
