[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] The opening ceremony of the election office for preliminary candidate Jo Seung-hwan, who announced his candidacy for the Seo-gu Councilor of Gwangju Metropolitan City in the nationwide local elections on June 1, was successfully held.
At this event, candidate Jo emphasized "the beginning of change in Seo-gu" and "building a dynamic Seo-gu."
The opening ceremony was attended by about 300 people, including former Seo-gu Mayor Im Woo-jin, preliminary candidates for Seo-gu Mayor Kim Yi-gang and Kim Bo-hyun, and city council members Jang Jae-sung, Jeong Soon-ae, and Song Hyeong-il.
The event was conducted as an opportunity to listen to opinions and communicate on local issues through conversations with many local residents.
Candidate Jo also announced specific plans to support overcoming COVID-19, improve the water quality of Pungam Lake, expand jobs for the elderly, and strengthen care for single-person households and senior citizens.
Candidate Jo said, "Based on 40 years of experience and know-how in public service, I will strengthen safety, autonomy, and welfare administration closely related to residents' lives to contribute to improving the quality of life for Seo-gu residents."
Meanwhile, candidate Jo served at Seo-gu Office for 33 years, holding positions such as Director of General Affairs, Welfare, Economy, and the Council Secretariat.
