'NAVER Access Pass' Partner Locations Expanded from 150 to 640 Places

[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Naver announced on the 1st that it will expand the types of partner stores where users can easily enter using the ‘Naver Access Pass’ from unmanned convenience stores to butcher shops, sashimi restaurants, pet shops, and meal kit stores. The number of unmanned stores will increase from 150 to 640.

The Naver Access Pass is a mobile access authentication service that can be used as an entry method for unmanned stores, accessible via QR code within the ‘Na.’ section of the Naver app. Launched in June at about 150 Emart24 stores nationwide, the Naver Access Pass has received high praise from users for its easy access and intuitive UX/UI.

Users of unmanned convenience stores can conveniently complete everything from entry to payment within the Naver app by utilizing Naver Pay’s on-site payment feature. Entry to Emart24 unmanned convenience stores is possible via the Naver app without authentication through credit cards or transportation cards, and users can enjoy point reward benefits along with payment through Naver Pay’s on-site payment.

As of this month, approximately 640 stores where the Naver Access Pass can be used include ▲ unmanned convenience stores nationwide such as Emart24, CU, GS25, and Icon24 ▲ GogiGo unmanned butcher shops, Dongtan Noryangjin unmanned sashimi restaurants ▲ Gangajigoyangi unmanned pet shops ▲ Deugo and Yellow Spoon unmanned meal kit stores.

In addition, Naver is supporting many business operators to more easily integrate the Naver Access Pass through collaboration with Odin Robotics, Order Queen, and others that provide unmanned store access authentication systems based on solid technology, and plans to further expand partner stores in the future.

Hwang Jihee, head of Naver’s Electronic Signature Authentication Center, stated, "The Naver app, where the Naver Access Pass and Naver Pay on-site payment create a synergy effect, is establishing itself as a digital wallet in the untact era. We will continue to strive to enhance user convenience by securing more diverse partner stores beyond convenience stores."
