Close Friend Jang Dong-gun Delivers Congratulatory Speech
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Actors Son Ye-jin (Son Eon-jin) and Hyun Bin (Kim Tae-pyung) sounded the wedding march amid the blessings of their colleagues. Thus, another top star couple was born.
Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin held their wedding ceremony at 4 p.m. on the 31st at Aston House, Walkerhill Hotel, Gwangjang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
At 11 a.m. that day, a gathering with family members from both sides was held, and from 4 p.m., a private ceremony attended by acquaintances took place.
Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin had previously prepared a guest list and submitted it to the venue, where security personnel were stationed at the entrance to check vehicle numbers and the list before allowing entry.
The congratulatory speech was delivered by actor Jang Dong-gun, who boasts a long-standing friendship with Hyun Bin, and the ceremony was hosted by Park Kyung-lim. The celebratory songs were passionately performed by singers Gummy and Kim Bum-soo, the two giants of OSTs.
Actors Ahn Sung-ki, Park Joong-hoon, Joo Jin-mo, Ha Ji-won, Song Yoon-ah, Ko So-young, Lee Min-jung, Uhm Ji-won, Kim Sun-a, Gong Hyo-jin, Ji Jin-hee, Jung Hae-in, Oh Yoon-ah, Jeon Mi-do, Kim Ji-hyun, Jang Young-nam, and Choi Sung-joon attended as guests to support the couple’s new beginning.
Aston House is an impressive space featuring a large mansion and an open outdoor garden with views of the Han River. It is the venue where Bae Yong-joon & Park Soo-jin and Ji Sung & Lee Bo-young tied the knot. The venue accommodates 300 people, and the reception is held outdoors as a garden party.
That afternoon, Hyun Bin’s agency VAST Entertainment released wedding photos and stated, "Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin have held their wedding ceremony and taken their first step as a married couple. We ask for your understanding that the main ceremony was held privately considering the COVID-19 situation, and we thank you for the congratulations and support for their new beginning."
Son Ye-jin debuted in 1999 with the CF "Man with Flowers" and has appeared in dramas such as "Delicious Proposal," "Sun-hee and Jin-hee," and "Summer Scent," as well as films like "The Classic" and "A Moment to Remember." She is currently wrapping up the drama "Thirty-Nine."
Hyun Bin debuted in 2003 with the drama "Bodyguard" and has appeared in "My Name is Kim Sam-soon," "Worlds Within," "Secret Garden," and films such as "Late Autumn" and "Confidential Assignment."
The two starred together in the 2018 film "The Negotiation" and grew their love while performing romance scenes in the 2019 drama "Crash Landing on You."
