‘Haenam-born’ Yoon Jae-gap Appointed as Standing Deputy Chair of the Democratic Party Policy Committee

[Haenam＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Yoon Jae-gap, member of the National Assembly (The Democratic Party of Korea, Haenam·Wando·Jindo), announced on the 25th that he has been appointed as the Standing Vice Chairman of the Policy Committee of the Democratic Party of Korea.

Despite being a first-term lawmaker, Yoon has been recognized as a policy expert by contributing to the discovery of major policies by each standing committee of the National Assembly and coordinating opinions and resolving conflicts between the party and the government. Since the opening of the 21st National Assembly, he has been appointed as the Standing Vice Chairman of the Democratic Party's Policy Committee, earning strong trust from the party leadership.

Additionally, as a member of the Agriculture, Forestry, Livestock, Food, and Maritime Affairs Committee, he has taken the lead in the development of agriculture and fisheries and the resolution of related issues by proposing bills to eliminate blind spots in the public-type direct payment system and to mandate market isolation for excess rice production.

Yoon said, “I feel a heavy responsibility as I have been appointed to a position responsible for the Democratic Party's policies for the third consecutive time,” and added, “As a member of the Agriculture, Forestry, Livestock, Food, and Maritime Affairs Committee, I will do my best to reflect the voices of farmers, fishermen, and rural areas in the policies of the Democratic Party and the government.”
