First, at Alps Cinema Theater 3, an outdoor screening venue where visitors can enjoy films with their pets, on April 3rd and 4th at 5 PM, films under the theme "Together with Dogs" will be shown. These include "With Children," capturing the grandeur of nature with children and pets, "With Dogs," about mountain sports enjoyed with dogs, and "My Friend Laika," a story about adopting a stray dog as family.
At another outdoor venue, Alps Cinema Theater 4, audiences can enjoy various Swiss films that suit the ambiance of spring nights.
As the guest country this year, Switzerland ? Alps, the films introduce Swiss Alpine culture and nature, including the animation "Vanil and the Hair Thief," "The Snow Fairy," the fantastical and sensory experimental film "Aletsch Glacier" depicting glaciers dancing like a dance, the thrilling perspective of a referee in the game "Game," and the documentary "Dancing Cows on the Roof," which calmly portrays the four seasons of Switzerland. A variety of genres and themes can be experienced.
At the semi-open large screening hall located centrally in the Complex Welcome Center, Ump Cinema enhances the emotional impact of films through a large screen set in nature.
On the weekend of April 2nd and 3rd, films suitable for the whole family will be screened. The fantastic animation "Martin and the Mysterious Forest" and the Swedish family story "Sune's Summer Festival Chaos" will be shown, and on Sunday evening, the thrilling action movie "The Ice Road," starring Liam Neeson, will be screened.
The festival office stated, "It will be a time to experience the unique charm of the Ulju World Mountain Film Festival, where you can enjoy nature and films together outdoors without worries about COVID-19."
The Ulju World Mountain Film Festival will be held from April 1 to 10, 2022, at the Yeongnam Alps Complex Welcome Center in Ulju-gun, showcasing 148 films from 42 countries along with various experiential programs.
