Jindo County Council Conducts First Promotion Personnel Changes After Independence of Personnel Authority

The personnel appointment this time is the promotion and appointment of Senior Specialist Ha Jeong-bae to Grade 5.

On the 22nd (Tuesday), Jindo County Council members and staff attended the promotion appointment ceremony together to congratulate the promotee.

In particular, this appointment ceremony holds great significance as it is the first promotion appointment conducted after the independence of personnel authority in local councils.

Park Geum-rye, Chairperson of the Jindo County Council, said, “The county council has taken a historic first step in exercising independent personnel authority,” adding, “We will secure talented individuals with ability and expertise through fair and rational personnel management and strengthen the council’s capabilities for the residents.”

Meanwhile, earlier this year, the Local Autonomy Act was fully revised for the first time in 32 years, allowing metropolitan and basic councils to exercise independent personnel authority over the council secretariat and to appoint policy support officers.
