[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] The Cultural Heritage Administration has appointed eight cultural heritage care specialists for the Cultural Heritage Care Monitoring (Regular Inspection) project, part of the '2022 Retired Public Officials Social Contribution (Know-how+) Project.'
Started in 2017 and now in its sixth year, the Cultural Heritage Care Monitoring project appoints retired public officials with extensive experience in the cultural heritage field as care specialists to systematically manage cultural heritage sites. The appointed care specialists are each assigned to oversee 2-3 regions, inspecting cultural heritage sites based on their work experience and expertise, and devising effective management plans accordingly.
The Cultural Heritage Administration stated, "We will operate the cultural heritage care specialists thoroughly to conduct regular inspections of cultural heritage sites and strive to ensure smooth implementation of continuous preventive preservation management that prevents various damages, including minor deterioration, in advance."
