[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] On the 22nd at 10 a.m., President Moon Jae-in presided over the 13th Cabinet Meeting held via video conference with the Government Seoul Office and Sejong Office at the Blue House, deliberating and resolving five presidential decree proposals including the partial amendment bill of the "Seed Industry Act," and two general agenda items including the "2022 General Account Contingency Fund Expenditure Plan."


The 2022 General Account Contingency Fund Expenditure Plan included operating expenses for the Presidential Transition Committee. To ensure a smooth transition of duties for the President-elect, 2.706 billion KRW will be spent from the 2022 general account contingency fund to cover the committee's activity expenses and other operating costs. This is the second allocation following the first, bringing the total support to 5.87 billion KRW.


After deliberating the agenda, a departmental report was presented on the "Four-Year Plan Achievements for Enhancing Women's Representation in the Public Sector and the 2022 Implementation Plan." The Blue House stated, "Enhancing women's representation is the foundation and core for creating gender-equal organizations and cultures," and expressed hope that efforts to increase women's representation in the public sector will continue. Additionally, an oral report was given by the Chief Negotiator on the "Achievements of the Visit to the U.S. on the Occasion of the 10th Anniversary of the Korea-U.S. FTA."
