First Child 500,000 Won... Government's First Meeting Voucher 2,000,000 Won
[Wanju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Wanju County announced on the 21st that starting from the 1st of next month, it will provide the government-supported First Meeting Voucher along with its own childbirth incentive grant for newborn children.
So far, as part of its childbirth promotion policy aimed at overcoming low birth rates and creating a favorable environment for having children, Wanju County has provided childbirth incentive grants of 500,000 KRW for the first child, 1,000,000 KRW for the second child, and 6,000,000 KRW for the third child or more.
Additionally, various policies have been implemented to overcome the low birth rate issue, including providing childbirth congratulatory gifts to families, maternal and newborn health care support services, transportation expenses for pregnant women, and postpartum health care expenses.
The First Meeting Voucher support project, which the government has been providing since this year, celebrates the birth of newborn children and aims to reduce the economic burden of early child-rearing by providing 2,000,000 KRW to all children regardless of birth order.
Families residing in Wanju County can apply for both the childbirth incentive grant and the First Meeting Voucher, and if they meet the residency and other eligibility requirements, they can apply for a maximum of 2,500,000 KRW to 8,000,000 KRW.
However, if the family moves to another region during the support period, the childbirth incentive grant support will be discontinued.
