Night Viewing at Gyeongbokgung Palace Becomes Available


[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] Night viewing of Gyeongbokgung Palace will become available. The Gyeongbokgung Management Office of the Cultural Heritage Administration's Royal Palaces and Tombs Headquarters announced on the 21st that night viewing will be possible for 38 days from April 1 to May 29.


The maximum number of visitors per day is 1,300, and except for foreigners (100 tickets issued on-site per day), visitors must make reservations in advance through online booking. On the day of the visit, tickets can be issued at the unmanned ticket machines in front of the ticket office for entry. Viewing hours are from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM (last admission at 8:30 PM).


Free admission for night viewing at Gyeongbokgung is available to national merit recipients and their spouses, severely disabled persons and one accompanying person, mildly disabled persons, holders of national bereaved family certificates, children under 6 years old, seniors aged 65 and older, and those wearing hanbok.


Among the free admission groups, only those wearing hanbok must obtain tickets at the ticket office on the day of the visit, while other free admission groups can enter after identity and relevant document verification at Heungnyemun Gate without on-site ticket issuance.
